Troop meetings are geared toward the development of the skills necessary for the Troop's outdoor event schedule. In the time period from January through mid-March 2009, the outdoor program includes ice fishing, skiing, and a District Klondike with a pioneering theme. Consequently, the meeting emphasis is planning for these events and developing skills such as winter camping, snow sports, lashing / splicing, and fishing. In addition, newer Scouts have the opportunity to learn basic outdoor skills and work on basic rank advancement.
