The Troop did its annual canoe trek, November 4th and 5th, on the Delaware River through the heart of the Delaware Water Gap between Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The trek started at Dingman's Ferry. This area is truly a scenic wilderness, and the river can offer some challenges to beginners and moderately skilled canoeists. The Scouts were able to apply lots of skills - from the actually canoeing to properly packing equipment for a water trek to bear country discipline and Leave No Trace camping. |
